This article explains how to add a document title in PowerPoint. The document title is metadata that helps identify the presentation, especially for assistive technologies.
Considerations
- Title should be short, descriptive, and unique
- Reflect the presentation’s content accurately
- Use relevant keywords
- Use sentence case for readability
- Different from file name or visible slide title
Steps
Windows
- Open your PowerPoint file
- Select File > Info
- Under Properties, enter a title in the Title field
- Example: Digital Accessibility Overview presentation
Mac
- Open your PowerPoint file
- Select File > Properties
- Go to the Summary tab
- Enter the title in the Title field
- Click OK
