Overview
This article explains how to add alternative text (alt text) to images so users with visual impairments can understand visual content.
Considerations
- Describe images in 1–2 sentences (~150 characters)
- Match description to context
- Avoid repeating captions
- Use proper punctuation
- Mark decorative images appropriately
Steps
- Right-click the image
- Select Edit Alt Text
- Enter a clear description in the Alt Text pane
