Overview
Clipchamp is a browser-based video editing tool designed for ease of use and accessibility. To locate these files efficiently and accurately, the files will need to be named correctly to be located easily.
Considerations
- There are two versions (Web-App and Desktop App):
- Windows users can download the Clipchamp desktop app, and Mac users will have to access it through a web app since there is no desktop app available.
- Make sure to use your UWEC credentials to log in.
- For the best experience, use Chrome.
Steps
- Access your video project through Clipchamp by accessing either the web version (for all users) or download the app (Windows OS Only).
- Use your UWEC credentials to log in and then open the video project that you want to name or rename.
- You should be seeing this screen:

- On the top left corner, you should see the video’s current name (on the right of “Clipchamp”). Make sure to click on it.

- After clicking it, you should see the current file name. To change it, simply click the box, erase the current name, and rename the video project as you like. Here’s the process below:
1)
2)
3)
- The new file name should automatically be saved after changing it.
