Clipchamp: Adding Transition in a Video Project

Overview

Clipchamp is a web-based video editing platform that lets users easily create, edit, and export videos using intuitive tools, templates, and built-in media assets. Inserting transitions into a video project will enhance the overall video experience by enabling smooth transition between two media.

Considerations

• There are two versions (Web-App and Desktop App):
  • Windows users can download the Clipchamp desktop app, and Mac users will have to access it through a web app since there is no desktop app available.
• Make sure to use your UWEC credentials to log in.
• For the best experience, use Chrome.

Steps

1. To add a transition, start by opening a video project
2. On the left side there will be a column of elements, click on “transitions”
   

3. Browse and preview the transition you want in your video. To preview, hover over the transition to see its transition
4. When you find the transition you want, click and drag and place it in between the two media you want to transition.
   

5. Now the transition should be added in between your two media. To change a transition, repeat the same process with a different transition selection.
