Microsoft Word: Document Title

Overview

A document title in Word is metadata that describes the purpose of the document. It allows assistive technology users to locate and identify the document more efficiently.

Steps

  1. Open the Word document.
  2. Go to the File tab and select Info.
  3. In the Properties window, select Title field.
  4. Enter a descriptive title in the Title field.
  5. Go back to the Word document you are working on. The document title is automatically saved.
