Overview
This article explains the difference between content placeholders and textboxes, and why placeholders are essential for accessibility.
Considerations
- Content placeholders are accessible and screen-reader compatible
- Textboxes are not accessible
- Outline View only displays placeholder content
- Placeholders use dashed borders; textboxes use solid borders
Steps to Check and Fix Textboxes
- Go to View > Outline View
- Check if text appears
- If not visible → it is likely a textbox
- Create a new slide with proper layout
- Copy content into placeholders
- Use paste options to format content
