Once you have uploaded a photo into your Adobe Express project, you can edit it with various tools. Considerations

Remove Background

The “Remove background” option allows you to remove the background of your image, leaving just the subject.

Steps

  1. Click on the image you would like to edit.
  2. Select "Remove Background"

Erase

The “Erase” tool allows you to remove parts of your image.

  1. Click on the photo you would like to edit.
  2. Select your desired function: "Erase" or "Restore"
  3. Select your desired brush: "Circle brush' or "Quick selection".
    1. "Size" refers to the size of the area affected by the brush.
    2. "Hardness" refers to the edge of the brush, whether it is a harsh line or a blended one.
    3. "Opacity" refers to the strength of the brush-- if it erases everything or leaves your image slightly opaque.
  4. Draw over what you would like erased and click "Done".

Remove Object

The “Remove object" function allows you to select an object within the image, and using AI fill in the empty space to make it look like it was never there.

Steps

  1. Click on the image you would like to edit.
  2. Select "Remove Object" 
  3. Adjust your brush size as needed
  4. Brush over the object you would like to remove
  5. Select "Remove"

Insert Object

The “Insert object” function allows you to insert generated images into your project.

Steps

  1. Click on the image you would like to edit.
  2. In the text box, describe what you would like to insert.
  3. Brush over the area where you would like the object inserted, and select “insert.”

Set Background

The “Set background” option will resize the image to become the background of your project.

  1. Click on the image you would like to edit.
  2. Select "Set background"

Generate Similar

The “Generate similar” tool will use AI to generate an image of a similar stye to the one you have selected. Just describe how you would like the new image to be and click “Generate.”

  1. Click on the image you would like to edit.
  2. Select "Generate similar"
  3. Describe the image that you would like to be created
  4. Click "Generate"
