Overview
Recording in Clipchamp allows you to insert any audio into your video.
Recording Considerations:
- Option to enable/disable camera
- Option to enable/disable microphone
- Option to upload a script
- Option to change your background
- Can add effects directly to the recording
Recording Steps:
- Navigate to Record & create in the left-hand side toolbar

- Click desired type of recording
- Screen and camera: will record your face and your screen
- Webcam: will record your face only
- Screen: will record your screen only
- Audio: will record your voice only
- Select Start Recording
- To stop recording, select the pause button.
- To end the recording, select the purple circle with a white square icon
- If you want to record again, select Retake Recording, or select Save and Edit.
Splicing Audio Steps:
- Select Audio, and ensure the play head is where you want the audio to be split
- Select the Scissors Icon

- Drag play head to the end of section you’d like to be cut
- Select the Scissors Icon
- Right click on the section you’d like to delete. Select Delete on your keyboard.

NOTE: This technique for trimming elements works the same for all elements: videos, images, graphics, music, and recorded media.
