Overview
Chapters let viewers navigate through your video by jumping to specific points. Chapters act as a bookmark, allowing easy navigation to specific content. This inclusive practice reduces the cognitive load of the viewer by allowing them to choose the content they would like to view.
Considerations
- Include custom names, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails.
- Chapters work well for longer (more than 15 minutes) videos containing multiple topics.
- Chapters are created manually.
- Chapter thumbnails are automatically generated based on where the cue point (red line) is located in the timeline.
- Uploaded thumbnails are accepted in the following formats: JPG, JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF, TIF, TIFF.
- Chapters can be viewed in the player by selecting the "View in Player" button.
Instructions

- Access the edit media page of a video, and click on the Timeline tab.
- To create a new chapter, click the Create New Chapter icon.
- Move the cue point (red line) to the desired position of the first chapter, then fill in the chapter information.
- Hit Save.
