Overview
This article describes how to fix the security settings that may be blocking the use of Kaltura Capture on a MacOS. While some of these messages can also include storage issues, they are commonly seen when there are operating system permission issues. This common error can produce a message of one of the following:
- "Failed to record" or "Failed to upload"
- "We are unable to connect right now, please check your network and try again later."
- "Less than 1 GB of Memory, Kaltura Cannot Run."
Steps to troubleshoot
- Go into System Settings (Preferences).
- Select Privacy and Security.
- Select the Camera setting and turn the toggle blue (to the right) to ensure KalturaCapture can access it.
- Select the Microphone setting, and turn the toggle blue (to the right) to ensure KalturaCapture can access it.
- Finally, select the Screen & System Audio Recording and turn the toggle blue (to the right) to ensure KalturaCapture can access it.
- Close the program and restart it.
