Kaltura: How to Save a YouTube video in MediaSpace

Last Updated

Overview

This guide teaches you how to save a YouTube video to MediaSpace. The MediaSpace portal and MyMedia, a third-party integration found in Canvas, are the same. Both instances are tied to your UWEC credentials.

Note: As of December 1, 2025, YouTube videos are automatically machine captioned once uploaded to MediaSpace/MyMedia. YouTube videos uploaded between January 5, 2025-November 30, 2025 will need to have captions reordered. Please see the Kaltura: Ordering Machine Captions for YouTube Videos for more information.
