Office 365: Configure Firefox for Single Sign On

NOTE: Performing these steps will enable Single Sign On for university-owned, domain-joined computers.

Windows

  1. Open Firefox.

  2. Open a new web browser tab.

  3. Type about:config in the address bar.

  4. Press [Enter].

     
  5. Click I’ll be careful, I promise! in the warning window.

     
  6. Type network.automatic into the search bar.

  7. Press [Enter] on the keyboard.

  8. Select the network.automatic-ntlm-auth.trusted-uris option from the list by double-clicking.
     
  9. Type uwec.edu into the Enter string value box that appears.

  10. Click OK.

     
  11. The network.automatic-ntlm-auth.trusted-uris option should now look as follows:

     
  12. Restart Firefox.

  13.  Log into your site. The logged on credentials will be passed through to the web server.

Mac

  1. Open Firefox.

  2. Open a new browser tab.

  3. In the address bar, type about:config to display the list of current configuration options.

  4. Type negotiate in the Filter field to restrict the list of options.

  5. Double-click the network.negotiate-auth.trusted-uris entry to display the Enter string value dialog box.

  6. Type UWEC.EDU.

  7. Click OK.
