Attach a file to any e-mail.

These steps only apply to New Outlook. They may differ lightly from other versions, for example, Outlook on the web, or classic Outlook.
Attach a file to an e-mail
To attach a file before sending your message, do the following.
- See 'Outlook: Create and Send an E-mail' to learn how to open a new e-mail.
- Before sending, select Insert > Attach file to add an attachment.
- Browse this computer finds files in your computer storage and shows the file content on the e-mail.
- Select OneDrive to find files from your OneDrive.
- Select Upload and share to insert the download link to the file on the e-mail.
- Select Link to insert a URL link with a display title.
- There's a section of the dropdown labeled 'Suggested files.' This takes your last three files accessed and displays them.

- After you finish composing your message, select Send.
