Steps
To attach a file before sending your message, do the following.
- Sign in to your Outlook account and open a new e-mail. If you want to learn how to open a new e-mail, see 'Outlook: Create and Send an E-mail.'
- To attach a file to your e-mail, select Insert > Attach file to add an attachment.
-
Once you click the Attach file, you will see multiple options. Based on the file location, select one of the following:
- Select Browse this computer to find files in your computer storage and shows the file content on the e-mail.
- Select OneDrive to find files from your OneDrive.
- Select Upload and share to insert the download link to the file on the e-mail.
- Select Link to insert a URL link with a display title.
- There's a section of the dropdown labeled 'Suggested files.' This takes your last three files accessed and displays them.
