Overview
This changelog highlights significant improvements to the UW-Eau Claire Knowledge Base for readers, article owners, editors, and administrators. It covers changes to the software system, rather than updates to individual knowledge base articles. Routine updates, internal maintenance, and minor changes are omitted.
September 14, 2026
- Added support for notifying participating search engines when public articles change, using IndexNow.
- Added Markdown versions of articles and an llms.txt directory to help AI tools discover public content. The directory includes category paths for context.
- Updated the sitemap to include only current, published, publicly accessible articles.
- Added caching sitemap and llms.txt that refreshes when article content changes.

- Added drafts so editors can save and preview changes before publishing, or create and publish articles immediately.
- Added article version history with previews, highlighted comparisons, and the ability to revert to an earlier version.
- Added permanent article links that continue to identify the article as new versions are published.
- Added a central Management page, reorganized navigation, and updated breadcrumbs.
- Updated management lists to use a consistent layout, added a permission filter to Manage Articles, and fixed article sorting and deletion issues.
