Overview
Clipchamp is a web-based video editing platform that lets users easily create, edit, and export videos using intuitive tools, templates, and built-in media assets. Inserting text into a video project will enhance the overall experience and is a fun tool to use.
Considerations
- There are two versions (Web-App and Desktop App):
- Windows users can download the Clipchamp desktop app, and Mac users will have to access it through a web app since there is no desktop app available.
- Make sure to use your UWEC credentials to log in.
- For the best experience, use Chrome.
Steps
- To insert a text, start by opening your video project
- On the left side there will be a column of elements, click on "text"

- Find a font/style text that you want to incorporate into your video project
- When you find the font you like, hover over it and a purple plus button will appear. Click on that to add it to your video timeline

- Now it will populate in your timeline and you can edit the text to fit your video project
- To edit the text, click on the text box in the middle that says “Add your text here”

- After changing the text, you can also change the color, font, and size which is located on top of the selected text

- You can also drag the corner to make the text bigger, and drag the side of the text to compress the text/expand it
