Overview
Adobe Express is an easy-to-use design software available to all campus employees, students, staff, and faculty. To keep marketing materials consistent, the University Marketing group created a UWEC Brand kit that includes:
- official UWEC colors and fonts
- official UWEC logos
- current branding graphics
Considerations
- If you are not seeing the UWEC Brand, you may need to gain access to it. Review the Branded Materials SharePoint page for additional information.
- Review the UWEC Brand Guide for information on how to apply the brand to your design.

Instructions
Getting started
- Log in to Adobe Express by going to adobe.com/express.
- Select the template or project.
How to use Apply Brand
Apply Brand: A one-click feature in Adobe Express that automatically updates a design’s colors and typography to match a selected brand kit while preserving the layout and content.
- Select Brands found in the Express Navigation bar.
- Select the brand that will be applied to the design.
- The Overview tab provides access to logos, colors, fonts, and graphics saved within the brand.
- To view a type of element, select “View all” or click on each tab provided.
- Within the UWEC brand, select the Setting button and choose to apply colors, fonts, or graphics to the design.

- To have the brand automatically applied to the template, select “Apply brand.”
- Review the design.
- Colors will shift to the brand’s palette.
- Text styling will update.
- To see more options, continue to select “Apply brand” to cycle through the brand assets. NOTE: The Apply Brand option does not strictly apply the UWEC Branding Guidelines.
How to Manually Apply Brand
Editing Text
- Select the text you wish to modify in the template.
- Under the text editor (left side panel), select the font option.
- Click on the menu for the UWEC Brand.

NOTE: Pay special attention to the header and body font styles and use them appropriately.
Editing Color Elements
- Select the graphic element you wish to modify in the template.
- Under the graphic editor (left side panel), select the color option.
- Under Swatches, select the carrot next to In Use and change the option to Brands and libraries.

- To access additional brands, select the hamburger menu to access the list of brands you have saved.

NOTE: Pay special attention to the primary and secondary color guidelines found in the UWEC Branding Guide to ensure the colors are being used appropriately.
Replacing Images, Graphics, or Logos
- Select the graphic element you wish to replace.
- Click on Replace.

- Select Brands from the menu.

- Choose the desired logo or graphic element.
- Click Replace and the element will appear within the template. NOTE: Adjustments to size and orientation may need to be made.
