ClipChamp: How To Save & Share a Video to MyMedia

Overview

ClipChamp is a free web-based editor for recording and editing audio and video. For video projects, it’s ideal because it allows you to: record your voice, video, or screen; add music, fades, and effects; cut and combine multiple clips and export projects easily. Regarding MyMedia, you can export a project to their video library and submit through Canvas if needed.

How to Save and Share a ClipChamp Video to My Media:

  1. Click Export (top right of Clipchamp editing screen)The export button is bright purple at the top right of the Clipchamp editing screen
  2. Choose your desired video quality from options listed on the left
  3. Click "Export"
  4. Click "Save to my computer"Under the video save confirmation, click "Save to your computer"
  5. Select or create a folder to hold the video, and then select saveIn your computer files, click the "save" button on the bottom right
  6. Go to your UWEC Canvas account
  7. Click on your profile and navigate to MyMediaUnder your canvas profile sidebar, the MyMedia link is 6th down
  8. Select "Add New" and then "Media Upload"Click the blue "Add New" button followed by the first drop-down option of "Media Upload"
  9. Agree to the prompted UWEC Terms and Conditions
  10. Select "Choose a file to upload"
  11. Find your Clipchamp video from wherever you saved it on your computer, and click "Open"In files again, select your project and click "'Open" in the bottom right
  12. You can add a description and tags if you want, but it's not required
  13. Decide whether to save the project as public or private
    1. Public: Everyone on MyMedia can access your video
    2. Private: Only you can access your video
  14. Select "Save"Click the blue "Save" button
  15. You are now able to access your Clipchamp video through MyMedia
