Yealink MP Series Phones (MP56 E2, MP54 E2, MP52 E2, MP45)

Overview

The Yealink MP Series phones are Microsoft Teams–compatible desk phones designed for business communication. These devices provide high-quality voice calling, integration with Microsoft Teams, and an intuitive touchscreen or button-based interface, depending on the model.

The MP56 E2, MP54 E2, MP52 E2, and MP45 are commonly deployed across office and remote work environments to support calling, meetings, and contact management through a unified platform.

Good for:

Individuals that receive many phone calls

MP52 E2 IP Phone - around $150

Good for: Individuals that wants a handset that is independent of a computer.

Considerations: Easy to use, Smallest screen

Windows ONLY - Phone shaped headset, Works best if only sound device

Good for: Individual that doesn’t get many phone calls and always have the computer in use.

Considerations:
*Tricky with other speakers or headsets
*Teams must be running
*May have to click close on the computer to end a phone call


How-To / General Use

1. Signing In

  1. Power on the phone.
  2. Select Sign In on the screen.
  3. Choose a sign-in method:
    • Sign in via computer (recommended)
    • Enter username and password directly on the phone
  4. Follow on-screen instructions to complete authentication.

2. Making a Call

Option A: Using the Dial Pad

  1. Enter the phone number using the keypad.
  2. Press the Call button.

Option B: Using Contacts

  1. Tap or select Contacts.
  2. Search for the desired contact.
  3. Select the contact and press Call.

5. Placing a Call on Hold

  1. During a call, press Hold.
  2. To resume, press Resume.

6. Transferring a Call

  1. Press Transfer during an active call.
  2. Enter or select the recipient.
  3. Choose:
    • Blind Transfer: Transfers immediately
    • Consultative Transfer: Speak with recipient before completing

7. Joining a Microsoft Teams Meeting

  1. Tap or select Calendar.
  2. Choose the meeting.
  3. Press Join at the scheduled time.

8. Adjusting Volume


9. Checking Voicemail

  1. Select Voicemail.
  2. Choose a message.
  3. Press Play.

10. Signing Out

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select Sign Out.
  3. Confirm when prompted.
