Kaltura: Submitting a Video to a Canvas Assignment
Last Updated
Overview
There are multiple ways to submit a video to a Canvas Assignment depending on the instructor's instructions and guidance. This guide will provide instructions on submitting a video to a Canvas Assignment based on the submission type created within the assignment. If you are not finding the correct buttons within the Canvas Assignment, please talk with your instructor.
Ways to Submit
The instructions will start with the submission type so it is assumed the video is already created and uploaded to your My Media account. If you need support with the uploading process, please see the directions on uploading a video to My Media before proceeding. If you are uploading a video from your mobile device, please see the instructions for uploading media via the KMS Go app (Android instructions and iOS instructions).

Finding and Submitting a Video Using a Link
1. Once the video is uploaded and processed in My Media, follow the directions on how to find and share a video URL.
Tip: If you like to see the process before doing it, there is a video linked within the instructions that will walk you through it.
2. Once you have the link to your video, it can be shared in multiple ways including hyperlinked within a document, submitted as a Website URL in Canvas (see image), or hyperlinked within a Text Entry in Canvas.
Tip: For accessibility purposes, create the hyperlink within a sentence so it is distinguishable, descriptive, and provides a clear context about its destination.
