Objective

This practice directive and related procedure provide the framework for the Building Coordinator program, detail Building Coordinator responsibilities, and list training opportunities.

Statement

Building Coordinators serve as important liaisons between the faculty, staff, and students of their building and various campus service, and play a pivotal role in enhancing UW-Eau Claire's safety measures by promptly identifying and addressing potential hazards. Their contributions help the university proactively mitigate threats, safeguarding its reputation, fostering a secure campus community, and ensuring the wellbeing of students, faculty, and staff. As the first contact for building occupants for maintenance concerns, their coordination with Facilities ensures that infrastructure remains in optimal condition, reducing maintenance costs and providing a conducive learning environment.
