Intent

This procedure provides the framework for the Building Coordinator program, details Building Coordinator responsibilities, and lists training opportunities. This procedure support practice directive UWEC 690, Building Coordinators.

Scope

This procedure applies to all Building Coordinators designated by the Director of Risk Management, Safety, and Sustainability.

Definitions

Building Coordinator: a UW-Eau Claire employee designated by the Director of Risk Management, Safety, and Sustainability that is responsible for the various administrative, maintenance, and safety responsibilities included in this procedure

Procedures

Program Administration

The Director of Risk Management, Safety, and Sustainability will designate an employee to serve as a Building Coordinator for each building on campus. The Director reserves the right to replace a Building Coordinator at their discretion.

Responsibilities

Building Coordinators play a lead role in assisting in emergency preparedness and response for individual buildings, as well as communicating with service departments.
